Deuteronomy Chapter 32 דְּבָרִים

 Ha'azinu הַאֲזִינוּ
“ Give ear!”

hem qin'uni velo-el,  ki3asuni behavleyhem ; va'ani aqni'em belo-3am, begoy naval akh3isem

21 They have roused Me to jealousy with a no-god; they have provoked Me with their vanities; and I will rouse them to jealousy with a no-people; I will provoke them with a vile nation.

[When the Jews give up their faith in the Torah for follies,
when the most trifling un-Jewish fad, utterly ridiculous though it
may be, becomes more important in their eyes than the eternal
commandments of the Torah, their punishment will be that they will
be persecuted by a non-people - by people devoid of virtues that
signify humanity, who will hate them without cause. (Mayana shel
Torah)]
